Privacy Policy.
Effective 25 October 2026. How we handle personal information at Campus Depo.
1. Overview
Campus Depo respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Campus Depo app, website and related services. It does not cover third-party websites or services that we do not control.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us, information created when you use Campus Depo, and information from service providers.
- Account and profile: name, email address, phone number, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), profile photo, campus or institution, roles and preferences.
- Verification: student ID, identity information, selfie or liveness checks, business details, vehicle details and related documents where required for vendor or courier verification and payouts.
- Orders and payments: products, order history, delivery address or pickup point, order notes, wallet activity, payment status and transaction references. Card and bank details are handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Delivery: location information needed to arrange pickup and delivery, courier status and delivery confirmations.
- Support and applications: messages, contact details, attachments, order references and the information you submit through our support or careers forms.
- Device and usage: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, and interactions with app features.
- Cookies and similar technologies: on our website, we use necessary technologies to operate the site and may use limited analytics to understand usage.
3. How we use information
- create and manage accounts, roles and campus memberships;
- process orders, payments, refunds, payouts and delivery;
- verify users, vendors and couriers, and prevent fraud or misuse;
- provide support, respond to enquiries and resolve disputes;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot and improve the service;
- send service messages, security alerts and, where permitted, updates about Campus Depo;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations;
- enforce our terms and protect the rights, safety and property of users and Campus Depo.
4. Legal bases
Depending on the context, we rely on one or more of these legal bases: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and improving a safe marketplace; your consent; and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, but that does not affect processing that already took place.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed:
- With vendors and couriers to fulfil orders and deliveries, including the contact and delivery details needed for the transaction.
- With service providers that help us run Campus Depo, including cloud hosting, authentication, database, storage, email delivery, analytics, crash reporting, and payment processing such as Paystack.
- With professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors and insurers, where necessary and subject to confidentiality.
- With authorities where required by law, legal process, or to protect safety and rights.
- In a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition or restructuring, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Some providers may process information outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.
6. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the service, maintain accurate records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it, subject to any legal hold or backup retention.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, authentication, monitoring and restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information, we will take appropriate steps and notify affected users and authorities where required.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of information that is no longer needed;
- request restriction of, or object to, certain processing;
- request portability of information you provided;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent authority.
To exercise a right, email support@campusdepo.com. We may need to verify your identity and may keep certain information where the law requires.
9. Children
Campus Depo is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or who use the service with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without the required consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. Cookies and website
Our website may use necessary cookies or similar storage to keep the site working and to remember basic preferences. We may use limited analytics to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
11. Marketing
We may send service messages that are necessary for your account, orders or security. Where permitted by law, we may also send updates about Campus Depo. You can opt out of marketing messages using the unsubscribe option in the message or by contacting us. Opting out does not stop necessary service messages.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our service, legal requirements or practices. We will publish the updated version on this page and change the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
13. Contact
